The first vampire dates back to the biblical times... back to Jesus' betrayal at the hands of Judas. Cursed by God for what he had done, Judas was damned to an eternal life, being forced to drink the blood of others to survive. Judas grew lonely and longed for companionship. He took to making a coven created from his own blood. These vampires turned by Judas himself, became vampires in their purest form.

These original vampires carried on the line and gave birth to a whole new race that steadily grew as time went on. Traditional values dictated that blood be kept pure, however there were a select few who mingled among humans and therefore the bloodline was tainted. After some time, these values dwindled. Though, there are still families such as the Moretti's who heavily value blood purity as they boast the only true pureblood family. That being said, they tend to marry within the family.
